Made a change to our Straight and Curved Trestle Kits. Due to the number of different Radii for Curves, the Kit provided a step-by-step procedure that lets the builder make their own Radius Template. The change to all Kits shipping from us now is that we provide Templates for radii of 13.5, 15.5, 18, 21, 22.5, 24, 27, 30, 31.5, 36, 40.5, 41, 42, 45 and 49.5 inches. We kept the step-by-step procedure in the manual for those with a Radius that is not listed here.
New Southern Pacific design Pile and Frame Trestles
A few customers asked if we could produce a SP variant to our Pile Trestle Line. Absolutely and by the end of the Month!
Typically, the differences include 5 Legs for Standard and Narrow Gauge lines, a few small differences in the build process and available in Pile and 12"x14" Frame designs. Additionally, these will be offered standard at 64' in length, with length extension kits available in 16' increments.
Watertank Conversion Kits
The Watertank Conversion Kit for Unbuilt Kits makes building of the Water Box Subassembly much easier than the previous kit. The original Kit had the builder edge-glue many 2”x12” pieces to create a wall for the Water Box and then glue them all together to get a critically crucial rectangular Water Box with square corners and perpendicular walls. This process was complex even with seasoned model builders. This revised kit provides the average builder with an easy-to-build internal Water Box where they will plank with the 2”x12” pieces! Much easier!!! Contact us via email to see what it takes to convert your unbuilt kit to a newer and easier-to-build kit. The cost will depend on how much we can reuse from your old kit, the latest Internal Box, and a new Manual and Drawings.
